5 Signs Your Hormones Are Out of Whack

TIME

Raise your hand if, in the last few weeks, you’ve felt tired, bloated, or cranky. Sound familiar? Then you know the drill: Every month, your hormones—the body’s itty-bitty secret weapon—come out to play, wreaking havoc on your mood, skin, and mind. While levels generally stabilize after your period, various factors, like stress (yup, keep those hands raised) and anxiety can throw them off balance. So how can you tell if your symptoms require an office visit? Alyssa Dweck, MD, an OB-GYN at the Mount Kisco Medical Group in New York shares the five red flags that might merit a doctor’s note.

Fatigue

Exhaustion is one of the most, well, exhausting symptoms to a doc, since it has so many possible causes. “If you’re tired after a week of final exams or late nights at work, then you’re probably fine,” says Dr. Dweck. “But if you constantly feel worn out and…

Letting Go of Judgement

I was challenged yesterday by my morning meditation to consciously let go of judgement throughout the day.
Every time that I felt myself beginning to judge a person or a situation, I was to stop myself,  let go of those feelings and replace them with acceptance and love.
I figured that this would be pretty easy task for me as I believed that I’m  not really a judgemental type of a person.

Love vs. Romance

The Fickle Heartbeat

love vs romance

Shared by Drew X.

One of the things that interests me the most about relationships is how they break down.  Looking at divorce rates, it’s clear that a lot of them do.  But why?  What causes this breakdown?  It’s not a simple answer, as there are many things that can contribute to relationships breaking down.  One large contributor seems to be confusion about what romance is, and the difference between romance and love.

4 Things to Consider Before Your Next Relationship

The Fickle Heartbeat

4 Things to consider before your next Relationship

Shared by LilPhilosopher.

“There’s plenty of fish in the sea” “you deserve better” “you’ll find someone else better” “you were never right for each other” Who has not heard these quotes, while they’re well intentioned, why do they not make anything actually better? I’m not sure if this is the season for it, or why, but I keep seeing posts about people going through heart break. While I’m currently not in a relationship, and it’s been several years since my last one, there are a few things that I’ve noticed that seem to help people around me get over their loss. “Get Over” their break-up isn’t the best way to phrase it either, deal with it in a healthy way is probably a better way to look at it. The truth is a break-up will always hurt, even years after, we learn how to not let it affect us…

Why Alone Doesn’t Have to Mean Lonely

The Fickle Heartbeat

Why Alone Doesn’t Have to Mean Lonely

Shared by Marzena Bielecka.

People tend to confuse being alone with the loneliness, between which there is a relevant difference. To be alone means to be by one self. Even though we live in a society there is time in our life that we are totally alone and this is a completely normal state and should not cause any worry.

In opposition, to be lonely is to really suffer from being alone, to intensively crave contact with other human. Then you start to feel emptiness in your life. But it is for you to decide if being on your own makes you feel lonely or not! Why would you be sad of being by your own? If it happens to you, try to understand a few things:

1.Being alone give you absolute freedom

When you are alone you are open to change and you can welcome new opportunities with…
