12 weird things you might see a narcissist do.

Lucky Otters Haven

the_color_9

There are some strange things I’ve noticed narcissists do that aren’t usually mentioned as symptoms of their disorder, but seem to be common enough perhaps they should be included as additional criteria for NPD.

If you know someone who does only one or two of these things, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a narc, but if they do several of them regularly and also seem to fit the more well-known criteria for NPD, these things could be red flags to watch out for.

1. They don’t blink when they look at you.

Some narcs have a penetrating, predatory gaze. If a person of the opposite sex looks at you this way, you may take it as sexual interest (and it could be), but watch carefully: if they do not blink this could mean they are sizing you up as prey. Whether they blink or not, if their stare makes you…

The Realm of the Narcissist

Let Me Reach with Kim Saeed

The Realm of the Narcissist

 ~ by Ether

Whilst we live in a world full of beauty, love, depth, feelings, thoughts and experiences, narcissists do not. They don’t possess the capability to see such a world, nor to appreciate anything in it, including you, and so they don’t waste any time there trying. They prefer instead to bring people into their maze realm that they can control.

Narcissists cannot operate in any profound way with another person, nor are they interested in learning how to.  But, they are desperately dependent upon other people to survive, to progress, to receive praise, and to fulfill their hidden uncontrollable and incurable desire to frustrate, humiliate or destroy, often as covertly as possible so that they can enjoy the other person’s confusion.

Narcissists cannot offer any type of insight, recognition, responsiveness, or reciprocation that is part of a healthy and fulfilling life; they can in fact only operate…

“You are mad-sad”

Greendoor Relaxation

 movie Home 1

Have you ever been mad-sad? Then you are a typical human being as the alien character “Oh” discovers when he makes friends with the human girl, Tip, in the animated movie “Home”.

What is mad-sad? Mad-sad is when you get angry but deep underneath you are sad. Tip is sad that her mother was relocated and separated from her by the aliens when they invaded the planet earth. She is ready to fight the world. Her angry part has stepped forward to protect her vulnerability. When Oh discovers what is underneath her anger, he says with surprise, “You are mad-sad”. What appears to be anger is really sadness and grief for her loss.

 movie Home 2

Sometimes we are mad-sad, other times we are mad-scared. A parent might be mad-scared because their child is failing in school and they are worried about their future, or because their teenager has made a…

Appreciation

The Heartbeat of the Queen of Hearts

Do you give and accept appreciation??  One of the best things you can do in life is show your appreciation to others.  Many times people say, I don’t have money to give anything.  I challenge you to give a hug, give kind words, give a prayer, write a note of thanksgiving or just say thank you.  I was recently challenged with a young boy scout while going to Kroger, when I walked in the boy scout gave a wonderful pitch about the fundraiser and what would be accomplished by purchasing the card he had.  I did my shopping and when I came out of the store, I purchased 2 cards from him. He never said thank you, boy did my heart sink.  WOW teach your children that everything given to them is a gift and they should be thankful.  Be show APPRECIATION.

From the bottom of a grateful heart,

Sheryl…
